Dependents - Resident of Mexico or Canada

For information on how to enter or edit a dependent in the TaxAct program, go to the Dependents - Entering Information in Program FAQ. 

When entering your dependent, select the Dependent Citizenship type by selecting it in the drop-down Dependent Citizenship. Options include: 
  • None selected
  • U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or U.S. resident alien
  • Resident of Canada or Mexico
  • Other non-citizen or nonresident alien
