Efficient, accurate and secure tax return preparation

TaxAct has been updated with the latest tax law changes so tax professionals can calculate clients' federal and state 2015 taxes and assist with year-end planning. Client lists and all associated data entered now will be securely maintained and available when preparers update to the final version. With even greater security measures, TaxAct provides tax professionals with added account protection. Also new this year, Preparer's 990 Federal Editions are offered for the annual informational return required for some 501(c)(3) organizations.

TaxAct Preparer's Editions will support all 1065, 1120 and 1120S states in tax year 2015, giving tax professionals a complete suite of federal and state business products. Additionally, TaxAct will include several new 1041 State Editions, bringing the total number of supported 1041 states to nearly 30.

Tax professionals can expedite 2015 return preparation using comprehensive import capabilities for all of last year's TaxAct returns and PDFs of 1040 returns prepared with other major professional tax software. Preparers can choose how they wish to enter additional information with flexible data entry options. Data can be entered directly into tax forms, via the Q&A interview, or preparers can toggle between the two options.

Easier practice management and enhanced client service tools

TaxAct's new account management hub, Practice Manager, gives tax professionals one convenient place to securely access additional products, features and practice information. Enterprise Edition owners now have the option to set up their networks in the cloud. With this feature, tax professionals will have access to their account, practice and client information anywhere and anytime they have an internet connection. Enterprise customers can still network locally, if they prefer.

In addition, all professional customers now have dedicated support, a service that was previously available to non-Enterprise customers for an extra fee. Accessible via email or phone, TaxAct's team of support professionals are available to assist with any tax, technical or other questions.

Upcoming client portal streamlines workflow

Tax professionals will soon be able to extend the functionality of their TaxAct software with the addition of TaxAct Professional Client Xchange. This new portal, branded with the individual practice's name and logo, will enable preparers to securely exchange tax forms, documents and returns with their clients. A secure, password-protected website, TaxAct Professional Client Xchange will streamline workflows, helping preparers realize even greater efficiency.

The Client Xchange will be available in January for an introductory price of $79.99 per tax year (reg. $99.99).
