We have two product formats: TaxAct® Online (Free Federal, Deluxe, and Business), which is web-based tax preparation, and TaxAct Desktop (Free Federal, Deluxe, Business and Professional), which is downloaded and installed on your computer.

To sign in to either account type, you can simply click on the Sign In button at the top-right of the TaxAct website.

The Sign In window will ask you for your Username or Customer ID and your Password.  *Please note that if you have a Customer ID, once you enter this and your Password you will be prompted to create a Username due to us changing our sign in procedure.  Going forward you will use the new Username you create instead of the Customer ID.
