Topic:  Electronic Filing Charges for Resubmitting

When resubmitting a return after it was initially rejected, you will be prompted for a credit/debit card number.  As long as the primary Social Security Number (SSN) does not change and the product used does not change, there will not be a charge for resubmitting a return that was originally rejected by the IRS and/or State.  However, when a change is made to the primary SSN, the logic in our billing process identifies it as an additional return and therefore charges again.

You will need to process the charge and then you will need to complete a Service Ticket to request a refund of the charge associated with the incorrect SSN.  Please ensure that you provide the last four digits of the incorrect SSN in the details.
