Our TaxACT Destkop programs are available in preview and final release versions. The preview version is usually released during the first week of October. The final release of our federal 1040 software programs is typically released in early January.
The state modules begin releasing in early January and can continue through February depending on the state.
With the federal preview version, you are allowed to enter information, however you are not allowed to print and/or e-file a return until the final version is released.
You will receive an e-mail notification when the program(s) that you have ordered have been released and are ready for you to download. Once it has released, you may sign-in to download your program here.
