How do I determine which product format is right for me?


Customers who wish to save a copy of their tax return file on their computer hard drive or on a disk need to order a CD and/or downloadable version of TaxAct. Purchasing a CD does mean a shipping and handling charge is added to the order total. A customer ordering a CD will also have the ability to download the product from their personal download page accessed directly from our web site. A download-only customer will be able to retrieve their product immediately after purchase by visiting their personal download page.

TaxAct Online (Over the Web)

TaxAct Online is a web-based version (using your web browser) of TaxAct. There is no software to install. Your return is safely & securely stored behind a firewall on our state-of-the-art servers using the latest in encryption technology. TaxAct Online customers can gain access to their returns by using their TaxAct Online username and password.

How can I place an order for TaxAct products?

TaxAct Online customers can visit to begin their return for 2014. The IRS will not accept e-filed returns for the new tax year until the 2nd week of January 2015; so electronic filing will not be an available service until the IRS opens for the new tax year.
