TD Ameritrade - Electronic Import

To import your TD Ameritrade account information into TaxAct®:

  1. From within your TaxAct return (Online or Desktop), click Federal (on smaller devices, click in the top left corner of your screen, then click Federal).
  2. Click the Investment Income dropdown, click the 1099 import from institution.
  3. Click TD Ameritrade from the list of financial institutions.
  4. Continue with the on-screen steps to complete your import.

Note: Importing from TD Ameritrade will also import the Banking information to use for direct withdrawal/direct debit. Be sure you verify if this is the bank you would like to use in regards. 

You will need to know your TD Ameritrade account number and your document ID. Your document ID will be located on your TD Ameritrade statement or Form 1099-B Proceeds From Broker and Barter Exchange Transactions statement. If you do not know your document ID, you will need to contact your TD Ameritrade representative to obtain this information.
