Update Email Address or Mobile Phone Number

To update your email address for your TaxAct Account:

  1. Sign In with your username and password.

    If you have forgotten your username or password, click the Forgot links. Note: to retrieve your username or reset your password, you must have access to the email address for your TaxAct Account.

  2. In your TaxAct Account, click the My Preferences tile at the bottom of the page.

  3. Click the blue manage link next to your email address.

  4. Enter your new email address in the New Email Address field.

  5. Click the blue Update Email Address button. TaxAct will email you a verification code to enter on the next page.

  6. Copy the 8-digit verification code from your email and enter it in the Verification Code field. Click Verify Email.
