Once you have completed the Federal Q&A process, the next step is to complete your state return.

TaxACT State Editions become available in January each year. Answer a few state specific questions and your state return is finished, too.

Check State Release Dates

To prepare your State Return, do the following:

• Click on "State Q&A"
• Click "Add State"
• Select your State and click "Continue"
• Answer a few state specific questions

To prepare multiple state returns, simply return to the State Q&A, select another state and repeat the process.
