If you have recently updated your Social Security Number and would like to file your return electronically, please allow at least two weeks before submitting your return. This will allow the IRS time to update their files with the Social Security Administration.
If it is nearing the April 18, 2016 filing deadline (April 19, 2016 for filers in Massachusetts and Maine) and you owe money to the IRS, print and file a paper return to be sure your return is filed on time.
