To correct error codes for Forms W-2, W-2G, or 1099-R:
- Click Forms
In the Forms List, expand the Federal Forms topic Click the plus (+) sign next to Documents Received to expand the list. Choose the form that needs to be corrected (refer to your rejection notice to determine the form with the error).
- In TaxAct® Online returns, the Forms tab appears in the right side of your screen. Click View complete Forms list at the bottom of the box.
- In TaxAct Desktop returns, the Forms button appears in the menu at the top of the screen.
The Payer State and Payer Zip Code must both be completed and valid. If you have entered a 9 digit ZIP code, remove the +4 digits.
Repeat the Filing steps to resubmit your return.
