If you are a TaxAct Online user, Protection Plus can be added or removed within the filing steps in the TaxAct program. TaxAct Desktop users will only be able to purchase Protection Plus during the Electronic Filing steps.

TaxAct Online users can go directly to this screen using the following steps:

  • From within your TaxAct Online return, click My Return in the upper right hand corner of the screen;
  • Scroll down and click My Return Details;
  • Scroll down and click My Return Fees and then click Pay Now;
  • Click the Add or Remove button next to the Tax Protection Plus line.
