To receive your verification code via mobile phone as a text message: (standard text rates apply)

  1. Go to and enter your username and password. Continue through the steps until you're signed in to your TaxAct Account.

  2. Click the My Preferences tile.

  3. Click manage next to Mobile Phone and enter your phone number. A verification code will be texted to you. You can enter the code now or later (but before the code expires). To enter the code later (or to request a new code), click "unverified" next to Mobile Phone.

  4. Change your primary authentication method from email to mobile phone under "Primary Authentication Method".
