The creditor information from Form 1099-C Cancellation of Debt does not need to be entered into the TaxAct^® program since the actual Form 1099-C is not transmitted with the return. Completing this form in TaxAct transfers the information to the appropriate sections of the return. The IRS will already have a copy of the form so they are simply looking for the information to be on the return, rather than another copy of the Form 1099-C itself.
