When Is Your Credit Card Charged?
1
Your credit card is charged just prior to the release of the TaxAct® products that you have ordered. In some cases, your order may consist of a bundle and the products included in that order may have different release dates; therefore different billing times. We have listed guidelines below that we use in charging your card:

Professional Preparers
  • Preparer's Federal 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 990 are billed in October
  • Preparer's State 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, and 1120S are billed in late December to early January
  • Preparer's E-Filing (Unlimited or Incremental) are billed in late December to early January

Individual Consumers

  • TaxAct Basic, Plus, Premium, and States are billed in late December to early January
  • TaxAct Estate & Trusts 1041 is billed in late December to early January
  • TaxAct Tax Exempt 990 is billed in late December to early January
  • TaxAct Business 1065, 1120, and 1120S are also billed in late December to early January

Once the initial billing date for a program has passed, any order placed after that date is billed at the time the order is submitted.
