Some entries made in the itemized deductions section of the program will not appear on the Deduction Examiner. For example, with amounts entered on Lines 21, 22, or 23 of federal Schedule A, only the amount over 2% of the AGI on the return (i.e. the amount eligible to flow to Line 27 of federal Schedule A) will appear in the deduction examiner as the other part is not actually "deductible". You will see the eligible amount on the Itemized deduction - Miscellaneous line on the Deduction Examiner. If the total amount of the entries on Lines 21, 22, and 23 of federal Schedule A does not exceed 2% of the AGI on the return, there will be no amount appearing on the Deduction Examiner.

If you review the federal Schedule A in the return, the amount on Line 27 is the amount that should be appearing on the Deduction Examiner.
