Dependents - Resident of Mexico or Canada

To indicate in the TaxACT program that a dependent is a resident of Canada or Mexico:
  1. From within your TaxACT return (Online or Desktop), click on the Federal Q&A tab
  2. Click Basic Information to expand the category and then click Dependents and Other Qualifying Persons
  3. Click Review next to each dependent that is a resident of Canada or Mexico
  4. Select Resident of Canada or Mexico from the Citizenship drop down menu
