Easily file an IRS tax extension for free.

File by midnight on April 15, 2024.

caution signImportant reminder — an extension to file is not an extension to pay

When you e-file IRS Form 4868 and receive confirmation, you’ll have until October 15, 2024 to finish and file your 2023 tax return. If you need a state tax extension, TaxAct will guide you through those steps as well.
