Topic:  Clearing Browser Cache

Temporary internet files, while sometimes useful, can at times cause issues when accessing secure websites. Users of TaxACT Online have sometimes experienced issues with pages not loading, account sign-in difficulties, and other peculiar symptoms.

We suggest in these cases to first clear your temporary internet files including cookies and browser history. This has resolved most issues of this kind.

For specific instructions on clearing browsers you will need to consult support of your particular browser. Because of the pace which existing browsers are updated and new browsers are introduced, the TaxACT support staff cannot provide specific instructions for your browser.  Below you will find links to the home pages of browsers listed in our system requirements.

Note: Before clearing the cache, you should make sure that you are not still accessing the TaxACT website. Staying on the TaxACT website will keep the cached file (where the problem originates) in your browser history. This will prevent resolution of the issue since the old files cannot be removed while being accessed.
