It is easy to print your return or the individual forms within the TaxACT Desktop Program. To print your TaxACT return or any individual form associated with your return, please locate the appropriate instructions below.

Printing your Return

  1. Launch your TaxACT program.
  2. Click the gray Print button in the toolbar.
  3. Click on your choice of print option:
    • Mail Paper Return - This option will step you through the process of printing and mailing a paper return. If you choose this option, please carefully read the instructions presented within the program and follow the directions provided.
    • Print Return - This option will print a copy of the currently open return.
  4. Assuming you chose to Print Return, you can now choose the number of copies you wish to print. Then click the Print button.
  5. You can now choose the output option. Select your printer and your Settings and click OK.
  6. The program defaults to a Print Preview. If you did not remove the option for the print preview, simply click the Print... button in the upper left corner of the screen to complete the printing of your return.

Printing Individual Forms

  1. Launch your TaxACT program.
  2. Click the gray Forms button in the toolbar.
  3. Navigate to the form you wish to print using the Windows type folder navigation pane on the left-hand side of the window.
  4. Double-Click on the desired form name and ensure that the form you wish to print is displayed in the right-hand pane.
  5. Click the Print icon in the blue Forms Toolbar.
  6. You can now choose the output option. Select your printer and your Settings and click OK.
  7. The program defaults to a Print Preview. If you did not remove the option for the print preview, simply click the Print... button in the upper left corner of the screen to complete the printing of your return.
