DocVault is TaxACT's free companion app for saving and organizing tax documents and information. The mobile app is available in iTunes and Google Play.

You can use DocVault throughout the year to create encrypted digital copies of:

• Tax returns, W-2s, and other tax forms
• Receipts, invoices, and other supporting tax documents (for example, information supporting credits or deductions for education, medical expenses, mileage, charitable donations, and green energy expenses)
• Photos of charitable donations

Simply take a picture, edit it if necessary, and save. When you complete your taxes using TaxACT Deluxe or Preparer's Enterprise Edition, import your DocVault images into your return. Imported images will be saved with your TaxACT return but will not be transmitted to the IRS or state.

All of your DocVault information, documents, and photos are encrypted and saved to a secure server only accessible through TaxACT DocVault. Your account information and uploads are always secure.

Storage

Your DocVault account includes up to 3 GB of free storage. You will receive an email notification from TaxACT as you approach the storage limit. If you do not sign in to your account or the DocVault mobile app for two years, TaxACT has the right to deactivate your account and delete your files from our secure servers.

Assistance

For help signing in to your DocVault account, click Forgot Username? or Forgot Password? on the DocVault sign in screen. Please note that you cannot sign in to DocVault using your TaxACT Online account information. You will use a separate username and password for DocVault.
