Help Center Representatives
We are currently seeking individuals to join our TaxACT support center team for the upcoming tax season as Help Center Representatives. Help Center Representatives will answer incoming phone calls and email correspondence from customers with an assortment of support related questions related to our TaxACT product line. TaxACT products are promoted on each call.
The ideal candidate will be upbeat and personable with great written and oral communication skills, ability to multi-task in a fast paced, team focused call center environment, and have exceptional attention to detail. Previous call center phone and email experience is a plus, and Microsoft Windows and basic computer and Internet knowledge is required.
For candidates that have worked previous technical or help desk support positions and that possess a drive to grow and advance their technical skills, we are also seeking candidates to fill Product Support Specialist positions for the upcoming tax season.
After the required training period as a Help Center Representative, and upon passing an intense TaxACT product test, those advancing as Product Support Specialists will troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues related to the TaxACT product line through incoming phone calls and email correspondence from our customers. Working knowledge of computer operating systems, the Internet and Internet browsers is required. TaxACT products are promoted on each call.

Web Designer/Developer
2nd Story Software is searching for a full-time web designer with strong technical and artistic skills to join our growing marketing team. This dynamic person will design and construct graphics and content for web pages, online advertisements, software applications and, on occasion, print collateral.
Web designers collaborate with others in marketing and development on a regular basis in order to create high-impact designs intended to engage, inform and market to customers. Due to the spectrum of projects, designers are expected to develop a solid understanding of TaxACT products, customers and creative strategy.
Required work and/or classroom experience*:
- Extensive web design and website development
- Server-side scripting languages (ASP, PHP, etc.)
- HTML and CSS (writing without WYSIWYG editors)
- JavaScript
- Strong visual and graphic design skills
- Demonstrated use of web design best practices (browser nuances, navigation, image optimization and other accessibility issues)

This individual will function as the customer voice as it relates to the TaxACT experience. We are seeking a self starter who will provide oversight and direction for new media . Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a foundation in social media are required.
Responsibilities:
- Create a comprehensive social media strategy which increases visibility, registrations and site traffic for the TaxACT brand.
- Test new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities for consumer, business and professional preparer audiences.
